Removing architectural barriers means removing all obstacles or elements that make it difficult for those with a reduced motor, sensory or cognitive capacity to use a specific space or service.

REMOOVE promotes interventions for any obstacles and impediments to ensure inclusive and sustainable mobility through public areas and routes mapping and analysis of the accessibility and usability of mobility for specific users (people with mobility difficulties, the elderly, disabled people and children).

Article 3 of the Italian Constitution establishes that "all citizens have equal social dignity and are equal before the law, without distinction of sex, race, language, religion, political opinions, personal and social conditions".

Articles 77 to 82 of the D.P.R. 380/2001 (concerning construction) regulate accessibility for disabled people and the removal of architectural barriers to promote their overcoming in public and private contexts, open to the public.
