Cycle Itineraries in Trentino Alto Adige: from Pergine to Calceranica (Valsugana)
The starting point of this proposal is the Casa dei Canòpi in Viale degli Alpini. Crossing the historic centre of Pergine, you rejoin the first section of ITINERARY 1 along Via Giulio Rizzi, along the northern slopes of Colle Tegazzo. At the junction with Via Padova, continue along Via Della Chiesa up to Località Masetti. At km 2.8, a stretch of dirt road begins and leads back to the bottom of the hill, thus reaching Via Del Ràstel and the Pergine San Cristoforo cycle path.
The aforementioned short section was inserted by evaluating the qualitative characteristics of the dirt surface and the average and maximum slopes reached. We therefore assessed the presence of impeding conditions with the opportunity to travel along a section of naturalistic and landscape interest. We recommend taking the Variante di Valle described below: follow the Pergine-San Cristoforo cycle path that, in 1.5 km, allows you to reach the more famous Valsugana cycle path.
Points of interest
Breathtaking view of the Castel Pergine, stunning views of the valley and the view of the vineyards and apple orchards, it is worth a visit in spring. The new cycle path section that runs along the shores of Lago di Caldonazzo is exceptional, offering unique views! Do not miss the history of the Calceranica mine and a photo of the old miners' train.
